Bilston North – Wolverhampton
Labour face a 38 point drop in the latest council by-election which saw Anita Tolgyesi Stanley elected for Reform UK with 34.8% of the vote. This result is a damning indictment of the dire start that the Labour government has had since July the 4th.
No new government in modern history has seen such a dramatic fall from grace in such a short period making for many challenges in the coming months and years for Labour.
The Tories fared no better with an 11% drop indicating that their electoral issues are far from over and they have a long way to go before they can hope to restore trust in the public.
Reform UK on the other hand are only going from strength to strength and they continue to grow their membership and are identifying more and more good quality candidates to fight in more and more council elections.
With the intent to fight every seat in every ward in the 2025 council elections and nationally up to the 2029 general election this Bilston North result is an indicator, a marker of the Reform parties intent to push forwards building support and winning more and more elections on the way.
Anita Stanley
